FOUNDED IN NUREMBERG ALREADY IN THE YEAR
1936. THE COMPANY SOON EXPANDED SUCCESSFULLY
IN GERMANY, MAINLY DUE TO THE EXPERTISE
OF MR. FRITZ SAUER, THE COMPANY'S FOUNDER.
THE MAIN ACTIVITIES IN GERMANY CONCENTRATED
ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF APARTMENT COMPLEXES,
THE CONSTRUCTION OF SHOPPING CENTERS AND THE
OWNERSHIP OF OFFICE BUILDINGS.
THE COMPANY HAS
SOON OPENED FURTHER
OFFICES IN
FRANKFURT AND
MUNICH.
THE SAUER GROUP
OF COMPANIES WAS
LARGELY INVOLVED
IN THE RECONSTRUCTION
OF NUREMBERG’S
DOWNTOWN
AFTER WORLD WAR II.
IN 1967, MR. JÜRGEN SAUER TOOK OVER AS THE
OWNER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE COMPANY.
HE TOOK THE COMPANY ABROAD BY STARTING
ACTIVITIES IN THE USA AND AUSTRIA.
SINCE 1970, BUSINESS HAS BEEN EXPANDING ALSO
IN SPAIN. THE FIRST PROJECT TO BE COMPLETED WAS
AN APARTHOTEL WITH 110 UNITS IN PUERTO DE LA
CRUZ, TENERIFE. DURING THE LATE 80S AND EARLY
90S, TWO MORE OFFICES WERE OPENED IN SPAIN,
ONE IN MARBELLA AND ANOTHER ONE ON MALLORCA.
SAUER HAS OFFICES IN FRANKFURT, COLOGNE,
MAINZ AND AUGSBURG.
TODAY, THE FIRM’S ACTIVITIES CAN BE DIVIDED AS
FOLLOWS:
IN GERMANY THE COMPANY FOCUSES ON THE SALE
AND RENT OF APARTMENTS AND THE RENT OF
OFFICES AND COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES IN THE MIDDLE
AND HIGH MARKET SEGMENT. IN MOST OF THE
CASES THE FIRM AQUIRES EXISTING BUILDINGS AND
RENOVATES THEM.
IN SPAIN, HOWEVER, ALL NEW PROJECTS ARE LOCATED
IN THE UPPER END OF THE MARKET. IT’S HERE
WHERE THE FIRM DOES ALSO INVEST INTO THE
DEVELOPMENT OF HOTELS, SHOPPING CENTERS AND
RESTAURANTS.

THE 5-STAR LUXURY ”KEMPINSKI RESORT HOTEL
ESTEPONA” OPENED ITS DOORS IN 1999. THIS PROJECT
WAS BUILT BY THE SAUER GROUP, TOGETHER
WITH ITS PARTNERS. FURTHERMORE, THE CONTRIBUTION
OF KEMPINSKI AS MANAGEMENT FIRM GUARANTEES
5-STAR SERVICE TO ALL GUESTS. THE HOTEL
IS LOCATED RIGHT ON THE BEACH, BETWEEN MARBELLA
AND ESTEPONA. TROPICAL GARDENS AND
THREE LARGE POOLS CREATE PURE RELAXATION.
AS PART OF THE COMPLEX OFFERS, BESIDES ITS 150
HOTEL ROOMS, 89 OUTSTANDING APARTMENTS. IN

MELVIN VILLARROEL.
THE PROJECT IS SITUATED ON THE PENINSULA OF
SANTA PONSA, LOCATED ON THE SOUTH-WEST OF
MALLORCA.
THE FIRST PHASE OF ”LOS PÁMPANOS”, CONSISTING
OF 57 LUXURY APARTMENTS. THE SIZE OF THE
